    Course Overview
    The units listed below are in the order that we learn them.
     

    Positive Rational Numbers

    • Use models and real world examples to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions

    Integers and Rational Numbers

    • Use the absolute value of a number to describe its distance from zero on a number line and to find the distance between points on a coordinate plane


    Numeric and Algebraic Expressions

    • Use exponents and the order of operations to evaluate a numerical expression

    • Write and evaluate algebraic expressions to represent a situation

    • Simplify expressions to generate equivalent expressions


    Represent and Solve Equations and Inequalities

    • Write and solve equations using addition and subtraction

    • Write and solve equations using multiplication and division

    • Use an inequality symbol to represent a situation


    Understand and Use Ratio and Rate

    • Create and solve ratio problems by creating equivalent ratios
