    What We've Been Learning

     

    In Reading, our class is learning that stories have a beginning, middle, and end. We are also discussing how characters and their feelings can change from the beginning of the story to the end of the story. 

     

    In Phonics, our Central Scholars are learning that every sound is represented by a letter. We are also practicing proper letter formation. Our students are beginning to tap out and blend sounds together.

    In Math, our kindergartners are learning to count, write, and compare the numbers 0–10. We are learning to compare numbers using a number line, counters, and pictures. We are making sure that we are forming all of our numbers correctly and crossing out objects when we are counting.
