    This course fulfills financial, economic, business & entrepreneurial literacy NJ State graduation requirement OR this course may fulfill the graduation requirement for career education/practical arts. The course teaches students skills and attitudes useful in making wise economic decisions in their own lives and includes instruction about the basic institutions in both private and public sectors which operate or affect the economy. Economics is the study of how individuals, businesses and societies make decisions regarding
    their limited resources and the effects of those choices.  In addition, we discuss current business events daily in class.  It is highly encouraged that students share current business-related topics or even personal examples or experiences.   

    This course is strongly recommended for students who plan on majoring in business in college.
