I am one of Central School's reading intervention teachers. I have been in the district since 2002. I started right after graduating from Georgian Court University with my Bachelor's in Psychology and a teaching certificate. I started my career as a first-grade teacher. After six years, I was moved to teach second grade. I realized the importance of teaching the foundation of reading, so I decided to pursue my Master's in Education with a reading specialist certificate. I graduated in 2007 with my degree and then accepted a transfer to Old Mill to fill a reading specialist position. I enjoyed 11 years at Old Mill, mostly teaching reading intervention. When a reading teacher retired at Central in 2023, I was asked to move back to continue reading instruction to those students who needed a little extra help. I absolutely love what I do and look forward to many years of helping children reach their full potential as a reader.
