Welcome to 2nd Grade! 

“Today is a GREAT day to LEARN something NEW!” I am excited to embark on a 2nd grade adventure with my students!

My name is Christine Skellinger and I have been teaching at Allenwood School for over 20 years. I have my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Masters Degree in School Counseling. I began my career in 5th grade and have also taught 3rd and 4th grades. I love teaching 2nd grade because it is a year of incredible growth. Second graders grow into independent thinkers and curious learners! 

I currently live in West Long Branch with my husband, Greg, my daughter, Mady and my son, Nathan.  We have a Mini-Goldendoodle puppy named Oliver (“Ollie”). Ollie sure keeps us plenty busy with his adorable (and naughty) puppy antics.  

In my free time I love to go to the beach and relax with a good book! Very often you will find me at a sporting event or dance competition cheering on my children!
